Welcome,

My name's Olivia Smith and I'm a very nearly graduated RMIT Melbourne Journalism student.

I am a Canberra girl at heart, born and raised in the Capital, and often find myself defending my graceful city to hip-Melbournians. It was in Canberra that I found my love for storytelling; meeting new and interesting people and bringing their stories to life.

Since studying in Melbourne, that love of meeting people has developed into a passion for Broadcast. Since April, I have been volunteering my time at Broad Radio, a platform that has given me the opportunity to work with many women in the media industry I admire and bring action to my desire to elevate women's voices in the media.

This desire has extended to several pieces I have written for Women's Agenda, designed to celebrate and connect women as well as bring awareness to the gender inequalities that exist in our world.

I am beyond excited to immerse myself deeper into the world of professional journalism, to be challenged, and keep following the passions that have brought me here so far.

Thanks for reading... here's a laugh:
